Blog Roll, Musings of a Photographer

Thoughts on Feeling within Creativity.

Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.” — Don McCullin

This quote rings so true for me. I look beyond the surface at what i’m photographing. Take an autumn leaf for example. The texture, the way the light falls on it. The veins in the leaves and the sound of them when the move in a gentle breeze. Dead flora is a great subject to photograph it instantly catches my eye when on my photowalks. This subject is not only available in Winter or Autumn. The remnants of past seasons can always be found if you look hard and long enough.
