It’s a little ironic people are sat outside a health food shop eating fast food, while a poster is staring them in the face from across the road. At least there is a litter bin ready for them to walk over and dispose of their little in the proper way. People really are in their own world in public.
Whitby Abbey is such an intriguing place. It is the inspiration for the original Bram Stoker’s Dracula Castle and the Church Yard near the Abbey is featured in the novel itself. Only the shell of the abbey remains, mostly ruins now but in past times it played a very important part of daily life. Owned by the National Trust there is a charge to enter the ruins and grounds. Partly turned into a museum that features artifacts found during excavations of the Abbey grounds.
